The Antigua and Barbuda Citizenship by Investment Unit (CIU) is poised to host its first major international investment conference, Invest Caribbean, from May 24th – 26th, 2016.

According to the Unit’s Public Relations & Marketing Officer, Jamilla Kirwan, the main thrust of this venture is to showcase the Caribbean’s Citizenship by Investment Programs, focusing on investment opportunities and advantages, particularly those available in real estate and other sectors, such as agriculture, healthcare and renewable energy.

“The theme,” she says, “is “Investing in Safety and Security and a New Vision for CIP.”

According to Kirwan, the focus will be on highlighting the benefits of the Citizenship by Investment Programs to the region, looking at strengthening critical areas such as due diligence, and promoting the Caribbean as Paradise and a safe place to invest.

The three-day event aims to attract a projected 100 industry partners. Attendees will include heads of governments; international immigration and investment agents; government officials; representatives of regional and international organizations; industry professionals; academic speakers and High Net-Worth Individuals (HNWI). The event will also feature site visits to approved CIP developments.
