Antigua and Barbuda CIU To “Share Culture” with New Citizens Building on the Experience of Expo 2020 Dubai

Charmaine Quinland-Donovan, CEO of the Citizenship by Investment Unit (CIU), spoke about plans to actively interact with successful candidates, tell them about the country's history and introduce culture.

According to Charmaine Quinland-Donovan, many people who become citizens of Antigua and Barbuda but remain abroad want to immerse themselves in culture.

“We’ve had the opportunity to interact with some of our new citizens, persons who became Antiguan and Barbudan citizens through the programme, and I think what we need to do is come out more, allow them to experience our culture, experience what it is to be Antiguan and Barbudan.”

"Yes, you’re a citizen, but because you’re not living in the country and not immersed in the culture, I think you miss some of the components of being Antiguan.."

Therefore, the CIU will work to fill this gap.
