Roosevelt Skerrit Leads High-Level Delegation With The United Nations

Dominica Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit led a delegation to meet with the United Nations Subregional Team for Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean.

The main objective of the meeting was to provide a further action plan to strengthen the partnership between the island and the international agency and provide more tailored support to meet the needs of the people of Dominica.

The meeting highlighted priority areas based on national strategies, development challenges, and opportunities to advance towards the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

“Over the years, the UN has been a trusted and reliable partner to the Government of Dominica. In the last few years, particularly post Hurricane Maria, Dominica's engagement with the UN has intensified with support from more agencies within the UN System, for social protection programmes, disaster risk reduction and recovery, climate resilience strategy, and economic development," said Prime Minister Skerrit, calling this meeting a sure step to strengthen relations between Dominica and the UN.

The Dominica Citizenship by Investment Program is one of the popular programs in the Caribbean. A foreign investor has several investment options: real estate or an Economic Diversification Fund.
