Saint Kitts Increased CIP Validation Costs

Dr. Timothy Harris, the Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of St. Kitts and Nevis, in his speech on the budget for 2020 said that due to the increasing popularity of the Citizenship by Investment program on the island, the costs of due diligence have increased. The minister’s plans also include strengthening the passport of St. Kitts through agreements with friendly countries on the abolition of visas.

However, as citizenship grows in popularity, so does the cost of legal expertise, marketing, and other components associated with a citizenship by investment in Saint Kitts. But this is necessary since the program remains one of the best in the world, and the due diligence procedures reliability is among the most reliable.

As Timothy Harris announced, in 2020, the issue of introducing a new biometric function as part of the identity verification process is being considered.

“In the upcoming year, the Ministry would continue to deliver on its mandate and therefore seek to expand our partnerships with friendly governments around the world. The work of this Ministry is invaluable as it relates to the recent increase in the number of countries to which St. Kitts and Nevis's citizens now have visa-free entry. This has improved the strength of the St. Kitts and Nevis passport making it one of the strongest and most desirable in the region,” said Prime Minister Harris.

According to recently published data, the passport of Saint Kitts and Nevis remained a strong passport in the Caribbean for 2020.
