Dominica Opens Three Citizenship By Investment Funded Health Centers

The Citizenship by Investment Program funds twelve health centers. Three wellness centers that are part of these centers have recently opened. They are:

  • Medical Center Marigot

  • Georgetown Medical Center

  • Bellevue Chopin Medical Center

Eight objects have been completed so far.

Funding comes directly from citizenship by investment programs. Investors contribute to the Economic Diversification Fund (EDF). Further, the received investments are spent on various spheres of life, including medicine. Thanks to the program, citizens will be provided with better quality medical institutions.

Marigot Hospital is due to be completed next month. It will be fully equipped with an operating theater, an intensive care unit, inpatient wards, ICU, in-patient wards, A&E, labs and x-ray services, and a dialysis unit.

“We have recorded several accomplishments, all with the specific goal of enriching and improving the lives of Dominicans, we officially opened three health and wellness centers,” said Prime Minister Dr. the Hon. Roosevelt Skerrit, whose government has allocated $59.9 million (9.9 percent) for 2020-2021 years from the budget for the Ministry of Health. He also stressed that the government is "wisely" managing the CBI funds, using them to pay off government debt, cover operating expenses, and support public sector projects.

Investors have several investment options: invest in an economic diversification fund or invest in government-approved real estate.
