No Fee Increase for Dominica CIP

The expected increase of Dominica’s CBI fees has been suspended with no implementation date in sight, as announced by Hon. Prime Minister of Dominica, Roosevelt Skerrit, in the 2016 budget speech.

The Commonwealth of Dominica’s Citizenship by Investment Programme is one of the lowest priced Citizenship Programmes offered in the Caribbean and will remain so, as the government has announced there will be no fee increase as previously scheduled.

A Dominica passport permits holders to travel visa-free to more than 135 countries, allows greater business and banking opportunities for investors, and imposes no residency requirements and significant tax advantages. To be eligible for citizenship of the Commonwealth of Dominica under its Citizenship by Investment Programme, the Government requires either:

  • A contribution made into the Government Fund amounting to US$ 100,000 depending on the number of dependents included in the application;

  • An investment in designated Real Estate with a value of at least US$ 200,000.
