Grenada will accept applications online for citizenship by investment program due to COVID-19

The Grenada Citizenship Unit announced the suspension of paper applications due to an outbreak of coronavirus since March 20. However, by the end of March, the government intends to re-accept applications through the online platform.

An official letter from the Department states the following:

Due to the ongoing pandemic, the Grenada Citizenship Unit has stopped accepting hard copies of applications. This change in procedure was announced in a letter dated March 18, 2020.

Applicants can submit documents in electronic form from the launch of the CBI Grenada online platform, which is scheduled on March 31, 2020.

At the same time, applications can be submitted electronically via DropBox, which can be transmitted upon request to CBI agents.

After confirming one case of COVID-19, from March 22, 11:59 p.m., airports were closed for an indefinite period for all commercial passenger traffic in Grenada. Aircraft carrying cargo and pre-approved medical personnel will be allowed to land if necessary.
