The Portuguese Golden Visa program allows successful applicants to obtain the right to reside, study and work in Portugal, as well as travel without visas to 26 countries of the European Union.

The program has been operating since 2012 and over the entire period of its existence has been able to attract about 5 billion euros of investments.

The program offering residency by investments is designed to attract foreign investors who want to obtain a legal right to live in Portugal. There are several investment options:

Investments in the amount of 500,000 euros in real estate;
350,000 Euro investment in a redeveloped property ;
350,000 Euro investment in a regulated investment fund or in the new jobs creation

After such investments, the applicant can immediately receive a residence permit, and after five years a permanent residence permit.

An investment of at least 500,000 euros in small and medium enterprises in Portugal

Why do people choose a Golden Visa?

Holders of a golden visa can apply for citizenship without being present in person. To confirm immigrant status, it is enough to stay in the country for 7 days during the year.
