More people will now be able to obtain a UAE Golden Visa

The United Arab Emirates has approved a new project to issue ten-year "golden visas" to some professionals, special degree holders, and others.

The advantage of a golden visa applies to spouses and children. All categories must have a valid employment contract in a priority specialized area in the UAE.


Who can apply for and get approved for a Golden Visa:


1. Ph.D. degree holders. By law, professionals with doctoral degrees are awarded the Golden Visa. A person must have a Ph.D. from one of the top 500 universities in the world.

 

2. Doctors. The authorities also allow all doctors to obtain a 10-year visa. This will help the country to better cope with the pandemic and fill the country's shortage of medical professionals. According to Sheikh Mohammed, doctors specializing in viral epidemiology will be awarded a golden visa.

 

3. Engineers: All computers, electronics, programming, electrical, electronics, active technology, artificial intelligence, and big data engineers can obtain a Golden Visa to attract talent in this specialized field.

 

4. Highly Qualified Professionals: The UAE also offers a 10-year visa to highly qualified professionals who have earned high scores of 3.8 or more at approved universities.

 

5. Researchers / Scientists: This includes researchers and scientists who are specialists in their fields. Scientists must be accredited by the UAE Council of Scientists or holders of the Mohammed bin Rashid Medal for Scientific Achievement.

 

6. Inventors: The UAE also offers a golden visa to inventors, but they must obtain a patent for the value, which increases the UAE economy. Patents must be approved by the Ministry of Economy.

 

7. Artists: Creative persons in the field of culture and art are awarded a golden visa. Creative persons in the field of culture and arts must be accredited by the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development.

 

8. Investors. Foreign investors with AED 10 million or more can also apply for a golden visa. This investment can be in the form of an investment fund deposit, company formation, or real estate investment, or any other strategic sector. Under this scheme, a number of Indian, Pakistani, and Arab investors have been granted golden visas.

 

Below is a list of professionals who can obtain a 5-year visa:

 

1. Entrepreneurs: This category includes those who have an existing project with a minimum capital of AED 500,000 or those who have permission from an accredited business incubator in the country. The entrepreneur is allowed to obtain a multiple-entry visa for six months with the possibility of an extension for another six months. The long-term visa includes a spouse and children, a partner, and three executives.

 

2. Top Students: This includes students with a minimum grade of 95% in public and private high schools, university students within and outside the country with a graduation grade point average of at least 3.75. The long-stay visa applies to families of outstanding students.
