Changes in Saint Lucia Citizenship by Investment Program

The Citizenship by Investment Program in Saint Lucia is the youngest program in the Caribbean. However, in recent years, it has become quite popular among investors. In 2018-2019, 288 people received St. Lucia citizenship. These days the government has revised the program and now it has become even more affordable! The country offers significant limited time discounts.

Promotion until the end of the year only applies to:

  • Investments in non-interest-bearing “COVID-19 RELIEF”.

Other changes to Citizenship Option without an expiration date:

  • Reduced grants to the National Economic Fund of Saint Lucia;

  • Reduced investments in an approved development project.

Dotation option in the SLNEF now looks like this:

  • Principal applicant: $100,000 (amount has not changed)

  • Principal applicant and spouse: $140,000 (15% discount)

  • Family of 4 members: $150,000 (21% off)

  • Each additional applicant: + $15 000 (40% discount)

Citizenship based on investments in real estate:

Amount of investments: from $300,000

  • Single applicant: $30,000

  • Single applicant + spouse: $45,000

  • Dependent under the age of 18 when applying for a family of less than 4 people: $5,000

  • Dependent over the age of 18 when applying for a family of up to 4 people: $10,000

  • Each additional dependent of any age (fifth and further): $10,000

Investment option in “COVID-19 RELIEF BOND” (available only until the end of 2020). The country offers a discount of almost 50% on the previous government bond option, plus waiver of Processing Fee:

  • Single applicant: $250,000

  • Single applicant and one dependent: $250,000

  • Single applicant + maximum three dependents: from $250,000 to $300,000

  • Each additional dependent of the applicant (fifth and subsequent): $25,000

  • Government administrative fee: $30,000.

No payment is required in advance of approval, except the usual due diligence and professional fees.

The bonds do not pay interest, but principal will be returned after holding period. The minimum holding period varies 5 – 7 years depending on the amount invested and the number of qualifying dependents. Contact us for a quotation tailored to your personal situation.
