In this regard, the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia has developed a draft federal law aimed at improving the legislation governing the issues of obtaining a residence permit in the Russian Federation by foreign citizens for economic reasons, Izvestia reported with reference to the press service of the ministry.

Also, at the stage of development is a plan for the type of real estate that a foreigner can acquire. "The criteria for classifying a foreign citizen as an investor for the purpose of obtaining a residence permit in the Russian Federation will be approved by the Russian government."
