Foreign Buyers Will Receive A Five-Year Visa When Purchasing Condominiums In Thailand

By investing THB 10 million (US$330,200) in real estate, the country offers five-year residency visas. And this initiative will be supported by foreigners, as the number of requests for residence in Thailand is growing.

The program supports developers who have not been able to sell all condominiums and creates new jobs for the local population. Investors should hurry because the offer expires at the end of 2022.

“They [foreigners] will have to act fast, because the program will only be available for two years, from 1 January 2021 to 31 December 2022. The foreign buyer must choose a property that is already completed or can be handed over before the end of December 2022."

Thailand issued 2,398 elite visas in the first three quarters of 2020, averaging around 266 visas per month.

The Thai government has issued a new 60-day tourist visa and a special tourist visa with renewable options. The government has also put forward the idea of granting work permits to foreigners who invest at least 1 million US dollars.
